Nait Rosenfelder (b. 1970, Haifa, Israel) is a Berlin-based textile artist, designer, and researcher. With an extensive background in international fashion design and a deep knowledge of the history and practices of handicrafts, she brings a unique perspective to her work.
After years of working in the fashion industry in both Tel Aviv and Berlin, Nait shifted her focus in recent years to creating one-of-a-kind textile objects within diverse contexts. Her interdisciplinary approach merges a profound love for textiles and fiber with a commitment to the act of making and the social practice of bringing people together.
Whether designing individual commissioned pieces or leading large-scale collaborative projects, Nait’s artistic process is rooted in research and often draws from traditional techniques. One of her creative concepts, CroChat, is a platform for workshops, courses, and site-specific art projects that explore the transformative power of crochet alongside the motivating force of communal interaction.
Nait studied fashion design in Haifa and London and holds a Master’s degree in textile and surface design from the Kunsthochschule Weißensee in Berlin.
