Mother/Daughter Intergenerational conversations
Playing together was the guiding idea behind the Mothers and Daughters CroChat workshop. Inspired by the traditional string game Cat’s Cradle—known in Hebrew as Savta Soreget (Grandmother Knitting)—this project drew on the rhythm of a game where one person’s movement shapes the next, in a continuous cycle of exchange. This simple, playful activity depends on trust, communication, and mutual awareness—qualities at the heart of any meaningful relationship.
This CroChat meeting brought together mothers and daughters, forming a beautiful and diverse chain of women—spanning generations, from a young girl to a grandmother. The gathering took place in a shared, neutral space, outside the roles and routines of daily life. Through play and creative interaction, it encouraged new forms of dialogue and connection. The experience opened space for moments that were both familiar and unexpected, offering a different way of being together—one shaped by curiosity, collaboration, and joy.
