To celebrate the founding of Kreis der Vielfalt (Diversity Circle) during the summer festival at Johannes Schule Berlin, I crocheted a 15-meter-long white Schneckenband (snail ribbon). Visitors were invited to contribute by crocheting in their favorite colors. Drawing inspiration from Waldorf kindergarten pedagogy, the Schneckenband captured the attention of both children and parents. Together, they transformed it into a shared thread, connecting generations through creativity and play. When rolled, it formed four distinct, vibrant circles, each symbolizing the dynamic interplay of creativity and community.
